Acts 19:10

10 And this took place for two years, so that all that inhabited Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks.

Acts 19:10 Meaning and Commentary

Acts 19:10

And this continued by the space of two years
Reckoning from the end of the three months, which had been spent in teaching in the synagogue:

so that all they which dwelt in Asia;
in the lesser Asia, called the proconsular Asia, of which Ephesus was the chief city:

heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks;
these, as they came to Ephesus, whether on account of religion, the Asiatic Jews to their synagogue, and the Greeks or Gentiles to the famous temple of Diana, or on account of trade and business, or for the sake of seeing this place, had the opportunity of hearing the Apostle Paul preach, concerning the person, offices, and grace of Christ; and dispute and reason concerning the more abstruse and difficult points of the Christian religion, in the above school, for two years together; so that the word of the Lord went out from hence, and was spread in all the cities and towns in Asia.

Acts 19:10 In-Context

8 And entering into the synagogue, he spoke boldly during three months, reasoning and persuading [the things] concerning the kingdom of God.
9 But when some were hardened and disbelieved, speaking evil of the way before the multitude, he left them and separated the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus.
10 And this took place for two years, so that all that inhabited Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks.
11 And God wrought no ordinary miracles by the hands of Paul,
12 so that even napkins or aprons were brought from his body [and put] upon the sick, and the diseases left them, and the wicked spirits went out.
