I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father,1 may give you the Spirita of wisdom2 and revelation, so that you may know him better.
I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened3 in order that you may know the hope to which he has called4 you, the riches5 of his glorious inheritance6 in the saints,719
and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power8 is like the working of his mighty strength,920
which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead10 and seated him at his right hand11 in the heavenly realms,1221
far above all rule and authority, power and dominion,13 and every title14 that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.1522
And God placed all things under his feet16 and appointed him to be head17 over everything for the church,
which is his body,18 the fullness of him19 who fills everything in every way.20
