I became a servant of this gospel1 by the gift of God's grace given me2 through the working of his power.38
Although I am less than the least of all God's people,4 this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles5 the unsearchable riches of Christ,69
and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery,7 which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.
His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God8 should be made known9 to the rulers and authorities10 in the heavenly realms,1111
according to his eternal purpose12 which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.
In him and through faith in him we may approach God13 with freedom and confidence.1413
I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.
For this reason I kneel15 before the Father,
from whom his whole familya in heaven and on earth derives its name.
I pray that out of his glorious riches16 he may strengthen you with power17 through his Spirit in your inner being,1817
so that Christ may dwell in your hearts19 through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted20 and established in love,
