1 John 1:4-10

4 And we are writing these things so 1that our[a] joy may be complete.

Walking in the Light

5 2This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that 3God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 4If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and 5do not practice the truth.
7 But 6if we walk in the light, 7as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and 8the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
8 9If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and 10the truth is not in us.
9 11If we confess our sins, he is 12faithful and just to forgive us our sins and 13to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say we have not sinned, 14we make him a liar, and 15his word is not in us.
