until I make your enemies your footstool.'
Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that 1God has made him 2both Lord and Christ, this Jesus 3whom you crucified."
Now when 4they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brothers, 5what shall we do?"
And Peter said to them, 6"Repent and 7be baptized every one of you 8in the name of Jesus Christ 9for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive 10the gift of the Holy Spirit.
For 11the promise is for you and 12for your children and for all 13who are far off, everyone 14whom the Lord our God calls to himself."
And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, 15"Save yourselves from this 16crooked generation."
So those who received his word were baptized, and 17there were added that day about three thousand souls.
And 18they devoted themselves to the apostles' 19teaching and the 20fellowship, to 21the breaking of bread and the prayers.
And awea came upon every soul, and 22many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles.
And all who believed were together and 23had all things in common.
And 24they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need.
