But now 1you must put them all away: 2anger, wrath, malice, 3slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.
94Do not lie to one another, seeing that 5you have put off 6the old selfa with its practices
and 7have put on 8the new self, 9which is being renewed in knowledge 10after the image of 11its creator.
1112Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave,b free; but Christ is 13all, and in all.
1214Put on then, as 15God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, 16compassionate hearts, 17kindness, 18humility, meekness, and patience,
1319bearing with one another and, 20if one has a complaint against another, 21forgiving each other; 22as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
And above all these put on 23love, which 24binds everything together in 25perfect harmony.
And let 26the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called 27in one body. And 28be thankful.
Let 29the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, 30singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, 31with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
And 32whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, 33giving thanks to God the Father through him.
