to be self-controlled, 1pure, 2working at home, kind, and 3submissive to their own husbands, 4that the word of God may not be reviled.
Likewise, urge 5the younger men to be self-controlled.
Show yourself in all respects to be 6a model of good works, and in your teaching 7show integrity, 8dignity,
and 9sound speech that cannot be condemned, 10so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.
911Slavesa are to be submissive to their own masters 12in everything; they are to be well-pleasing, not argumentative,
not pilfering, 13but showing all good faith, 14so that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior.
For 15the grace of God 16has appeared, bringing salvation 17for all people,
training us to renounce ungodliness and 18worldly passions, and 19to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in 20the present age,
1321waiting for our blessed 22hope, the 23appearing of the glory of our great 24God and Savior Jesus Christ,
1425who gave himself for us to 26redeem us from all lawlessness and 27to purify for himself 28a people for his own possession who are 29zealous for good works.
Declare these things; exhort and 30rebuke with all authority. 31Let no one disregard you.
