20 E Arauna riguardò, e vide il re e i suoi servitori che venivano a lui. Ed Arauna uscì fuori, e s’inchinò al re con la faccia verso terra.

2 Samuel 24:20

And Araunah looked
Peeped up out of the place in which he had hid himself with his four sons, for fear of the angel, and which they saw, ( 1 Chronicles 21:20 ) ;

and saw the king and his servants coming towards him;
he perceived, by the course they steered, that they were coming to him:

and Araunah went out;
of the threshingfloor, out of the place where he had hid himself, for he had been threshing wheat, ( 1 Chronicles 21:20 ) ; nor was it thought below great personages in those times to be employed in such work; so Gideon was threshing, when the angel of the Lord appeared to him, ( Judges 6:11 Judges 6:12 ) ; Boaz winnowed barley in his threshingfloor, ( Ruth 3:2 ) ;

and bowed himself before the king with his face to the ground;
in reverence of the king.

18 E Gad venne in quel dì a Davide, e gli disse: Sali, rizza un altare al Signore nell’aia di Arauna Gebuseo.
19 E Davide salì, secondo la parola di Gad, come il Signore avea comandato.
20 E Arauna riguardò, e vide il re e i suoi servitori che venivano a lui. Ed Arauna uscì fuori, e s’inchinò al re con la faccia verso terra.
21 Poi disse: Perchè è venuto il re, mio signore, al suo servitore? E Davide disse: Per comperar de te quest’aia, per edificarvi un altare al Signore; acciocchè questa piaga sia arrestata d’in sul popolo.
22 E Arauna disse a Davide: Il re, mio signore, prenda, ed offerisca ciò che gli piacerà; ecco questi buoi per l’olocausto; e queste trebbie e questi arnesi da buoi per legne.
