These were the sons Leah bore to Jacob in Paddan Aram,a1 besides his daughter Dinah.2 These sons and daughters of his were thirty-three in all.

The sons of Gad:3 Zephon,b4 Haggi, Shuni, Ezbon, Eri, Arodi and Areli.

The sons of Asher:5 Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi and Beriah. Their sister was Serah. The sons of Beriah: Heber and Malkiel.

These were the children born to Jacob by Zilpah,6 whom Laban had given to his daughter Leah7--sixteen in all.

The sons of Jacob's wife Rachel:8 Joseph and Benjamin.9

In Egypt, Manasseh10 and Ephraim11 were born to Joseph12 by Asenath daughter of Potiphera, priest of On.c13

The sons of Benjamin:14 Bela, Beker, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim and Ard.15

These were the sons of Rachel16 who were born to Jacob--fourteen in all.

The son of Dan:17 Hushim.18

The sons of Naphtali:19 Jahziel, Guni, Jezer and Shillem.

These were the sons born to Jacob by Bilhah,20 whom Laban had given to his daughter Rachel21--seven in all.
