Daniel 3:30 Meaning and Commentary

Daniel 3:30

Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in
the province of Babylon
He restored them to their places of trust and profit, and increased their honours: or, "made them to prosper", as the word F24 signifies; they flourished in his court, and became very great and famous. The Septuagint and Arabic versions add,

``and he counted them worthy to preside over all the Jews that were in his kingdom.''

FOOTNOTES:

Daniel 3:30 In-Context

28 Nebuchadnezzar said, "Praise the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He sent his angel and saved his servants, who trusted him. They disobeyed the king and risked their lives so that they would not have to honor or worship any god except their own God.
29 So I order that people from every province, nation, or language who say anything slanderous about the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego will be torn limb from limb. Their houses will be turned into piles of rubble. No other god can rescue like this."
30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to higher positions in the province of Babylon.
