Therefore, since we havesogreat a cloud of witnessessurrounding us, let us alsolayasideeveryencumbrance and the sin which so easilyentangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is setbefore us,

fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joysetbefore Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has satdown at the righthand of the throne of God.

and you have forgotten the exhortationwhich is addressed to you as sons, "MY SON, DO NOT REGARDLIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE LORD, NORFAINT WHEN YOU ARE REPROVED BY HIM.
