the headdresses1 and ankle chains and sashes, the perfume bottles and charms,

the signet rings and nose rings,2
22
the fine robes and the capes and cloaks,3 the purses
23
and mirrors, and the linen garments4 and tiaras5 and shawls.

Instead of fragrance6 there will be a stench;7 instead of a sash,8 a rope; instead of well-dressed hair, baldness;9 instead of fine clothing, sackcloth;10 instead of beauty,11 branding.12

Your men will fall by the sword,13 your warriors in battle.14
26
The gates15 of Zion will lament and mourn;16 destitute,17 she will sit on the ground.18
