"You are my witnesses,1" declares the LORD, "and my servant2 whom I have chosen, so that you may know3 and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god4 was formed, nor will there be one after me.511
I, even I, am the LORD,6 and apart from me there is no savior.712
I have revealed and saved and proclaimed-- I, and not some foreign god8 among you. You are my witnesses,9" declares the LORD, "that I am God.
Yes, and from ancient days10 I am he.11 No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?"12
This is what the LORD says-- your Redeemer,13 the Holy One14 of Israel: "For your sake I will send to Babylon and bring down as fugitives15 all the Babylonians,a16 in the ships in which they took pride.
I am the LORD,17 your Holy One, Israel's Creator,18 your King.19"
This is what the LORD says-- he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters,2017
who drew out21 the chariots and horses,22 the army and reinforcements together,23 and they lay24 there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick:2518
"Forget the former things;26 do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!27 Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert28 and streams in the wasteland.2920
The wild animals30 honor me, the jackals31 and the owls, because I provide water32 in the desert and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen,
the people I formed33 for myself34 that they may proclaim my praise.35
