Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows,1 yet we considered him stricken by God,2 smitten by him, and afflicted.35
But he was pierced4 for our transgressions,5 he was crushed6 for our iniquities; the punishment7 that brought us peace8 was upon him, and by his wounds9 we are healed.10
