14And the ruler of the synagogueanswered with indignation , because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There aresixdaysinwhich men ought to work : inthemthereforecome and be healed , andnot on the sabbathday.15
The Lordthenansweredhim, andsaid , Thou hypocrite, dothnot each one of you on the sabbathloosehisoxor his assfrom the stall, and lead him away to watering ?16Andoughtnot this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whomSatan hath bound , lo , these eighteenyears, be loosedfromthisbond on the sabbathday?17And when he had said these things, allhisadversaries were ashamed : andall the peoplerejoicedforall the glorious things that were donebyhim.18Then said he , Unto whatis the kingdom of Godlike?andwhereunto shall I resembleit?19It islike a grain of mustard seed, which a mantook , and castintohisgarden;and it grew , andwaxed a greattree;and the fowls of the airlodgedin the branches of it.20Andagain he said , Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?21
It islikeleaven, which a womantook and hidinthreemeasures of meal, tillthewhole was leavened .
22And he wentthrough the citiesandvillages, teaching , andjourneyingtowardJerusalem.23Thensaidoneuntohim,Lord, are there fewthat be saved ? And he said unto them,24Strive to enter inat the straitgate:formany, I say unto you, will seek to enter in , andshallnot be able .
