1Andwhen they came nightoJerusalem, untoBethphageandBethany,at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forthtwo of hisdisciples,2Andsaith unto them,Go your wayinto the village over againstyou:and as soon as ye be enteredintoit, ye shall find a colttied , whereonnevermansat ; loosehim, and bring him.3Andif any mansay unto you,Why do yethis? say yethat the Lordhathneed of him;andstraightway he will sendhimhither.4And they went their way , andfound the colttiedby the doorwithoutin a place where two ways met;and they loosehim.5And certain of them that stoodtheresaid unto them,What do ye , loosing the colt?6And they said unto them even asJesus had commanded : and they letthemgo .
7And they brought the colttoJesus,andcasttheirgarmentsonhim;and he satuponhim.8Andmanyspreadtheirgarmentsin the way:andothers cut downbranchesoff the trees,andstrawed them in the way.9And they that went before , and they that followed , cried , saying , Hosanna;Blessed is he that comethin the name of the Lord:10Blessed be the kingdom of ourfatherDavid, that comethin the name of the Lord:Hosannain the highest.11AndJesusenteredintoJerusalem,andinto the temple:and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventidewascome , he went outuntoBethanywith the twelve.12And on the morrow, when they were comefromBethany, he was hungry :
13Andseeing a fig tree afar offhavingleaves, he came , ifhaply he might find any thingthereon : and when he cametoit, he foundnothingbutleaves;for the time of figswasnot yet.
14AndJesusanswered and said unto it,No maneatfruitoftheehereafterforever.Andhisdisciplesheard it.
15And they cometoJerusalem:andJesuswent into the temple, and began to cast out them that soldandboughtin the temple,andoverthrew the tables of the moneychangers,and the seats of them that solddoves;16Andwouldnotsufferthat any man should carry any vesselthrough the temple.17And he taught , saying unto them,Is itnotwritten , Myhouse shall be called of allanations the house of prayer?butye have madeit a den of thieves.18And the scribesand chief priestsheard it, andsoughthow they might destroyhim:for they fearedhim,becauseall the people was astonishedathisdoctrine.19Andwheneven was come , he went out of the city.20And in the morning, as they passed by , they saw the fig tree dried upfrom the roots.21AndPeter calling to remembrancesaith unto him,Master,behold, the fig treewhich thou cursedst is withered away .
22AndJesusansweringsaith unto them,Havebfaith in God.23Forverily I say unto you,Thatwhosoevershallsay unto thismountain, Be thou removed , and be thou castinto the sea;andshallnotdoubtinhisheart,but shall believethat those things which he saith shall come to pass ; he shall havewhatsoeverhesaith .24ThereforeIsay unto you,Whatthingssoever ye desire , when ye pray , believethat ye receive them, andye shall have them.25Andwhen ye standpraying , forgive , if ye haveoughtagainstany:thatyourFatheralsowhich is inheaven may forgiveyouyourtrespasses.26Butifyedonotforgive , neitherwillyourFatherwhich is inheavenforgiveyourtrespasses.27And they comeagaintoJerusalem:and as he was walkingin the temple, there cometohim the chief priests,and the scribes,and the elders,28Andsay unto him,Bywhatauthority doest thou these things?andwhogavetheethisauthoritytodo these things?29AndJesusanswered and said unto them,I willalsoask of youonequestion,candanswerme,and I will tellyoubywhatauthority I do these things.30The baptism of John,was it fromheaven,orofmen?answerme.31And they reasonedwiththemselves,saying , If we shall say , Fromheaven; he will say , Whythen did yenotbelievehim?32Butif we shall say , Ofmen; they feared the people:forall men countedJohn,that he was a prophetindeed.33And they answered and said unto Jesus,Wecannottell . AndJesusansweringsaith unto them,Neither do Itellyoubywhatauthority I do these things.
