Whoso therefore shall swearby the altar,swearethbyit,andby all thingsthereon*.

And whoso shall swearby the temple,swearethbyit,andby him that dwelleththerein.#rl

And he that shall swearbyheaven,swearethby the throne of God,andby him that sitteththereon*.

Woe unto you,scribesandPharisees,hypocrites!for ye pay tithe of mintandanise[b]andcummin,and have omitted the weightier matters of the law,judgment*, mercy,andfaith:these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the otherundone.

Ye blindguides, which strain at a gnat,andswallow a camel.

Woe unto you,scribesandPharisees,hypocrites!for ye make clean the outside of the cupand of the platter,butwithin they are fullofextortionandexcess.

Thou blindPharisee,cleansefirst that which is within the cupandplatter,that the outside of them may becleanalso.

Woe unto you,scribesandPharisees,hypocrites!for ye are like unto whitedsepulchres,whichindeedappearbeautifuloutward,but are withinfull of dead men's bones,and of alluncleanness.

Even soyealso*outwardlyappearrighteous unto men,butwithin ye arefull of hypocrisyandiniquity.
