1 Peter 1:25; 1 Peter 2:19-21; 1 Peter 3:9; 1 Peter 4:6
But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults , ye shall take it patiently ? but if, when ye do well , and suffer for it, ye take it patiently , this is acceptable with God.
For even hereunto were ye called : because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called , that ye should inherit a blessing .
For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
