And they were all amazed , and were in doubt , saying one to another, What meaneth this?
And it shall come to pass , that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved .
Until I make thy foes thy footstool .
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off , even as many as the Lord our God shall call .

And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee.
And he said , How can I , except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.
Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean , behold , the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate,
That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called , saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said , What will this babbler say ? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.
For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean .
And when Paul was now about to open his mouth, Gallio said unto the Jews, If it were a matter of wrong or wicked lewdness, O ye Jews, reason would that I should bear with you:
Then the chief captain came near , and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains; and demanded who he was , and what he had done .
And Paul said , I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost , and altogether such as I am , except these bonds.
