They shall perish ; but thou remainest ; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after ;
But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
While it is said , To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said , As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
And as I may so say , Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured , as seeing him who is invisible.
By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned .
And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken , as of things that are made , that those things which cannot be shaken may remain .
Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them ; and them which suffer adversity , as being yourselves also in the body.
Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves : for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief : for that is unprofitable for you.
