He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is , being interpreted , the Christ.
After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.
One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him,
His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest .
For neither did his brethren believe in him.
But when his brethren were gone up , then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.
(It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick .)
Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died .
Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again .
Then when Mary was come where Jesus was , and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died .
Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die : yet Jesus said not unto him , He shall not die ; but, If I will that he tarry till I come , what is that to thee?
