Verily, verily, I say unto you , He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
When Jesus heard that, he said , This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby .
Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
This he said , signifying what death he should die .
That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled , which he spake , signifying what death he should die .
This spake he , signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.
