Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
Sell that ye have , and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old , a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth , neither moth corrupteth .
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat , they drank , they bought , they sold , they planted , they builded ;
Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast , and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come , follow me.
And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein , and them that bought ;
Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
