And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down . And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down , and taught the people out of the ship.
For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
And he said , An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.
Saying , Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied , whereon yet never man sat : loose him, and bring him hither.
That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
And, behold , I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
