And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching , that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by , which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
And it came to pass afterward , that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,
And they departed , and went through the towns, preaching the gospel , and healing every where.
And when the day began to wear away , then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away , that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge , and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.
And sent messengers before his face: and they went , and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.
Now it came to pass , as they went , that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
And he went through the cities and villages, teaching , and journeying toward Jerusalem.
And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
Saying , Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied , whereon yet never man sat : loose him, and bring him hither.
And, behold , two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went : and he made as though he would have gone further.
