John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
And preached , saying , There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose .
Now after that John was put in prison , Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth .
And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.
But he went out , and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.
And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach ,
And he departed , and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel .
And they went out , and preached that men should repent .
And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;
And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
And they went forth , and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following . Amen.
