But while he thought on these things, behold , the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying , Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
And when they were departed , behold , the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying , Arise , and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word : for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
When he arose , he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:
Saying , Arise , and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.
And he arose , and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.
Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
Then goeth he , and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
And after six days Jesus taketh Peter , James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart ,
But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established .
And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,
Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken , and the other left .
Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken , and the other left .
And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy .
Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.
