And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And, behold , they cried out , saying , What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
So the devils besought him, saying , If thou cast us out , suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.
Then Jesus sent the multitude away , and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying , Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?
Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold , we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
Saying , These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.
The baptism of John, whence was it ? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying , If we shall say , From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him?
Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?
Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife , deceased , and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately , saying , Tell us, when shall these things be ? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out .
But the wise answered , saying , Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell , and buy for yourselves.
But Jesus held his peace . And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
Saying , Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?
