For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written , The just shall live by faith.
God forbid . How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein ?
For in that he died , he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth , he liveth unto God.
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Know ye not , brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth ?
For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth ; but if the husband be dead , she is loosed from the law of her husband.
So then if, while her husband liveth , she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead , she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came , sin revived , and I died .
Therefore , brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die : but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live .
And it shall come to pass , that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.
For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
For whether we live , we live unto the Lord; and whether we die , we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die , we are the Lord's.
For to this end Christ both died , and rose , and revived , that he might be Lord both of the dead and living .
For it is written , As I live , saith the Lord , every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
