I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness1 and the gall.220
I well remember them, and my soul is downcast3 within me.421
Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:
Because of the LORD's great love5 we are not consumed,6 for his compassions never fail.723
They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.824
I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion;9 therefore I will wait for him."
The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him;1026
it is good to wait quietly11 for the salvation of the LORD.1227
It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young.
