13 that you turn your spirit against God, and you let [such] words go out of your mouth?

Job 15:13 Meaning and Commentary

Job 15:13

That thou turnest thy spirit against God
Not against men, his friends only, but against God himself, being filled with wrath and indignation at him; showing the enmity of his heart unto him, and committing hostilities upon him, stretching out his hand, and strengthening himself against him, running upon him, on the thick bosses of his buckler, as after expressed:

and lettest [such] words go out of thy mouth?
as in ( Job 9:22 ) ( 10:3 ) ( 12:6 ) ( 13:22-27 ) .

Job 15:13 In-Context

11 "Are the consolations of God too small for you, a word [spoken] gently with you?
12 Why does your heart carry you away? And why do your eyes flash,
13 that you turn your spirit against God, and you let [such] words go out of your mouth?
14 "What [is] a human being, that he can be clean, or that [one] born of a woman can be righteous?
15 Look, he does not trust his holy ones, and [the] heavens are not clean in his eyes.
