Leviticus 7:7 Meaning and Commentary

Leviticus 7:7

As the sin [offering is], so [is] the trespass [offering,
there is] one law for them
The same as in ( Leviticus 6:27 Leviticus 6:28 ) :

the priest that maketh atonement therewith shall have it;
who by offering it made atonement for the trespass of the person that brings it, as typical of the atonement by the sacrifice of Christ; he was to have all but what was burnt, for himself and his sons; though no doubt but other priests then on duty in the court ate with him.

Leviticus 7:7 In-Context

5 And the priest shall turn it into smoke it on the altar [as] a food offering made by fire for Yahweh; it [is] a guilt offering.
6 Every male among the priests may eat it; it must be eaten in a holy place; it [is] {a most holy thing}.
7 [The] instruction [is] {the same for the guilt offering as for the sin offering}; {it belongs to} the priest, who makes atonement with it.
8 " 'And the priest who presents {a person's} burnt offering, to that priest {belongs} the skin of the burnt offering that he presented.
9 And every grain offering that is baked in the oven and all that is prepared in a cooking pan or on a flat baking pan {belongs to} the priest who presented it.
