13 Si c'est toute l'assemblée d'Israël qui a péché involontairement et sans s'en apercevoir, en faisant contre l'un des commandements de l'Eternel des choses qui ne doivent point se faire et en se rendant ainsi coupable,

Leviticus 4:13

And if the whole congregation of Israel sin through
ignorance
That is, all Israel, or the greatest part of them, as Gersom interprets it, through the ignorant teaching of the judges, who by their instruction cause the people to err, and commit sins of ignorance, as Baal Hatturim on the place observes, and Maimonides elsewhere ^F7; wherefore Jarchi, and some others, by the congregation of Israel understand the sanhedrim, or the bench of judges, consisting of seventy one. Ainsworth remarks on the words, that the church may err:

and the thing be hid from the eyes of the assembly;
congregation or church, so that they do not know that it is a sin which they have committed:

and they have done [somewhat against] any of the commandments of
the Lord, [concerning things] which should not be done;
transgressed negative precepts:

and are guilty;
of sin, though as yet they know it not.

11 Mais la peau du taureau, toute sa chair, avec sa tête, ses jambes, ses entrailles et ses excréments,

12 le taureau entier, il l'emportera hors du camp, dans un lieu pur, où l'on jette les cendres, et il le brûlera au feu sur du bois: c'est sur le tas de cendres qu'il sera brûlé.

13 Si c'est toute l'assemblée d'Israël qui a péché involontairement et sans s'en apercevoir, en faisant contre l'un des commandements de l'Eternel des choses qui ne doivent point se faire et en se rendant ainsi coupable,

14 et que le péché qu'on a commis vienne à être découvert, l'assemblée offrira un jeune taureau en sacrifice d'expiation, et on l'amènera devant la tente d'assignation.

15 Les anciens d'Israël poseront leurs mains sur la tête du taureau devant l'Eternel, et on égorgera le taureau devant l'Eternel.
