Luke 9:12; Luke 12:28; Luke 14:18; Luke 15:15; Luke 15:25; Luke 17:7; Luke 17:31; Luke 23:26 (New International Version)

12 Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said, "Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here." 28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! 18 "But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, 'I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.' 15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. 25 "Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. 7 "Suppose one of you had a servant plowing or looking after the sheep. Would he say to the servant when he comes in from the field, 'Come along now and sit down to eat'? 31 On that day no one who is on the roof of his house, with his goods inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything.
