Daniel 10:14

Now I am come to make thee to understand what shall befall
thy people in the latter days
The contest being over with the prince of Persia, and having got an advantage, and carried his point in favour of the Jews; he came directly to Daniel, to inform him of what should befall the people of the Jews in the succeeding monarchies, especially in the times of Antiochus; and even of all that should befall them until the Messiah came, as Aben Ezra rightly interprets it; for the last days generally design the days of the Messiah; see ( Genesis 49:1 ) ( Isaiah 2:2 ) : for yet the vision is for many days;
before it will be accomplished; reaching not only to the times of Antiochus, three hundred years after this, but even to the times of antichrist, of whom he was a type; and to the resurrection of the dead, and the end of time, as the two next chapters show; see ( Habakkuk 2:3 ) .

12 And he said to me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to afflict thyself before the Lord thy God, they words were heard, and I am come because of thy words.

13 But the prince of the kingdom of the Persians withstood me twenty-one days: and behold, Michael, one of the princes, came to help me; and I left him there with the chief of the kingdom of the Persians:

14 and I have come to inform thee of all that shall befall thy people in the last days: for the vision is yet for days.

15 And when he had spoken with me according to these words, I turned my face to the ground, and was pricked .

16 And, behold, as it were the likeness of a son of man touched my lips; and I opened my mouth, and spoke, and said to him that stood before me, O lord, at the sight of thee my bowels were turned within me, and I had no strength.
