And everyone who has this 1hope fixed on Him 2purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness ; and 3sin is lawlessness.

You know that He 4appeared in order to 5take away sins ; and 6in Him there is no sin.

No one who abides in Him 7sins ; no one who sins has seen Him or a8knows Him.

9Little children, make sure no one 10deceives you; 11the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous ;
