1If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; for the testimony of God is this, that 2He has testifiedconcerning His Son.

The one who believes in the Son of God3has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believeGod has 4made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has givenconcerning His Son.

And the testimony is this, that God has given us 5eternallife, and 6thislife is in His Son.

7He who has the Sonhas the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.

And if we know that He hears us in whatever* we ask, 13we know that we have the requestswhich we have asked from Him.

Ifanyonesees his brothercommitting a sin not leading to death, 14he shall ask and God will for him givelife to those who commitsin not leading to death. 15There is a sin leading to death; 16I do not say that he should makerequest for this.

17Allunrighteousness is sin, and 18there is a sin not leading to death.
