"1FOR THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE TOWARD THE RIGHTEOUS, AND HIS EARS ATTEND TO THEIR PRAYER, BUT THE FACE OF THE LORD IS AGAINST THOSE WHO DO EVIL."

2Who is athere to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good ?

But even if you should 3suffer for the sake of righteousness, 4you bare blessed. 5AND DO NOT FEAR THEIR cINTIMIDATION, AND DO NOT BE TROUBLED,

but dsanctify 6Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready 7to make a edefense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the 8hope that is in you, yet 9with gentleness and f10reverence ;

gand keep a 11good conscience so that in the thing in which 12you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ will be put to shame.

For 13it is better, 14if hGod should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong.

For 15Christ also died for sins 16once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might 17bring us to God, having been put to death 18in the flesh, but made alive 19in the ispirit ;

in jwhich also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison,
20
who once were disobedient, when the 20patience of God 21kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of 22the ark, in which a few, that is, 23eight 24persons, were brought safely through the kwater.

25Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you-26not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God lfor a 27good conscience -through 28the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

29who is at the right hand of God, 30having gone into heaven, 31after angels and authorities and powers had been subjected to Him.
