7 casting all your ¹anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. 8 ²Be of sober spirit, ³be on the alert. Your adversary, ⁴the devil, prowls around like a roaring ⁵lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 ^a⁶But resist him, ⁷firm in your faith, knowing that ⁸the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your ^bbrethren who are in the world. 10 After you have suffered ⁹for a little while, the ¹⁰God of all grace, who ¹¹called you to His ¹²eternal glory in Christ, will Himself ¹³perfect, ¹⁴confirm, strengthen and establish you. 11 ¹⁵To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen. 12 Through ¹⁶Silvanus, our faithful brother ^c(for so I regard him), ¹⁷I have written to you briefly, exhorting and testifying that this is ¹⁸the true grace of God. ¹⁹Stand firm in it! 13 She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, sends you greetings, and so does my son, ²⁰Mark. 14 ²¹Greet one another with a kiss of love. ²²Peace be to you all who are in Christ.
