11 But 1flee from these things, you 2man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, 3faith, 4love, aperseverance and gentleness. 12 5Fight the good fight of 6faith ; 7take hold of the eternal life 8to which you were called, and you made the good 9confession in the presence of 10many witnesses. 13 11I charge you in the presence of God, who bgives life to all things, and of 12Christ Jesus, who testified the 13good confession 14before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the 15appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which He will cbring about at 16the proper time -He who is 17the blessed and 18only Sovereign, 19the King of dkings and 20Lord of elords, 16 21who alone possesses immortality and 22dwells in unapproachable light, 23whom no man has seen or can see. 24To Him be honor and eternal dominion ! Amen. 17 Instruct those who are rich in 25this present world 26not to be conceited or to 27fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, 28who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. 18 Instruct them to do good, to be rich in 29good fworks, 30to be generous and ready to share, 19 31storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may 32take hold of that which is life indeed. 20 O 33Timothy, guard 34what has been entrusted to you, avoiding 35worldly and empty chatter and the opposing arguments of what is falsely called "knowledge "- 21 which some have professed and thus 36gone astray gfrom 37the faith. 38Grace be with you.
