11Finally, brethren, 2pray for us that 3the word of the Lord will aspreadrapidly and be glorified, just as it did also with you;
2
and that we will be 4rescued from bperverse and evilmen ; for not all have cfaith.
3
But 5the Lord is faithful, dand He will strengthen and protect you efrom 6the evil one.
4
We have7confidence in the Lordconcerning you, that you 8are doing and will continue to dowhat we command.
5
May the Lord9direct your hearts into the love of God and into the steadfastness of Christ.
6Now we command you, brethren, 10in the name of our LordJesusChrist, that you f11keepaway from everybrother who gleads an h12unrulylife and not according to 13the traditionwhichiyou received from us.
7
For you yourselvesknowhow you ought to j14follow our example, because we did not act in an undisciplinedmanneramong you,
8nor did we 15eatkanyone'sbreadlwithoutpaying for it, but with 16labor and hardship we kept 17workingnight and dayso that we would not be a burden to any of you;
9
not because we do not have18the right to this, but in order to offerourselves19as a model for you, so that you would mfollow our example.
10
For even20when we were with you, we used to give you thisorder : 21ifanyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either.
11
For we hear that someamong you are 22leading an undisciplinedlife, doingnowork at all, but actinglike23busybodies.
12Nowsuchpersons we command and 24exhort in the LordJesusChrist to 25work in quietfashion and eat their ownbread.
13
But as for you, 26brethren, 27do not growweary of doinggood.
14Ifanyone does not obey our ninstructiono28in thisletter, takespecialnote of that personp29and do not associate with him, so that he will be 30put to shame.
15
Yet 31do not regard him as an enemy, but q32admonish him as a 33brother.
16Now34may the Lord of peace35Himselfcontinuallygrant you peace in everyrcircumstance. 36The Lord be with you all !
17sI, Paul, write thisgreeting37with my ownhand, and this is a distinguishingmark in everyletter ; this is the way I write.
1838The grace of our LordJesusChrist be with you all.
