For I 1was veryglad when 2brethrencame and testified to your truth, that is, how you 3are walking in truth.
I havenogreaterjoy than athis, to hear of 4my children5walking in the truth.
5Beloved, you are actingfaithfully in whatever you accomplish for the 6brethren, and bespecially when they are 7strangers;
and they have testified to your lovebefore the church. You will dowell to 8send them on their way in a manner9worthy of God.
For they went out for the sake of 10the Name, 11acceptingnothing from the Gentiles.
8Therefore we ought to csupportsuchmen, so that we may dbe fellowworkersewith the truth.
I wrotesomething to the church; but Diotrephes, who loves to 12be first among them, does not acceptfwhat we say.
For thisreason, 13if I come, I will callattention to his deedswhich he does, unjustlyaccusing us with wickedwords; and not satisfied with this, he himself does not 14receive the 15brethren, either, and he forbidsthose who desire to do so and 16puts them out of the church.
11Beloved, 17do not imitatewhat is evil, but what is good. 18The one who doesgood is of God; 19the one who doesevil has not seenGod.
12Demetrius20has received a good testimony from everyone, and from the truthitself; and we add our testimony, and 21you know that our testimony is true.
1322I hadmanythings to write to you, but I am not willing to write them to you with pen and ink;
