"Brethren*, sons of Abraham'sfamily, and thoseamong you who fearGod, to us the message of 8thissalvation has been sent.

"For those who live in Jerusalem, and their 9rulers, 10recognizing neither Him nor the utterances of 11the prophets which are 12readeverySabbath, fulfilled these by condemning Him.

"And though they foundnoground for putting Him to death, they 13askedPilate that He be executed.

"When they had 14carried out all that was writtenconcerning Him, 15they took Him down from 16the cross and 17laid Him in a tomb.

and for manydays19He appeared to those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, the very oneswho are now20His witnesses to the people.

"And we 21preach to you the goodnews of 22the promisemade to the fathers,

that God has fulfilledthis promise to our children in that He 23raised up Jesus, as it is alsowritten in the secondPsalm, '24YOU ARE MY SON; TODAY I HAVE BEGOTTEN YOU.'
