"Therefore we have sent3Judas and 4Silas, who themselves will alsoreport the samethings by word of mouth.

"For 5it seemedgood to 6the HolySpirit and to 7us to lay upon you nogreaterburdenthantheseessentials:

that you abstain from 8thingssacrificed to idols and from 9blood and from 10thingsstrangled and from 11fornication; if you keepyourselvesfree from suchthings, you will dowell. Farewell."

So when they were sentaway, 12they wentdown to Antioch; and having gathered the congregationtogether, they delivered the letter.

When they had read it, they rejoicedbecause of its encouragement.

13Judas and 14Silas, alsobeing15prophetsthemselves, encouraged and strengthened16the brethren with a lengthymessage.

After they had spenttime there, they were sentaway from the brethren17in peace to those who had 18sent them out.
