When we came in sight of 1Cyprus, leaving it on the left, we kept sailing to 2Syria and landed at 3Tyre; for there the ship was to unload its cargo.

After looking up 4the disciples, we stayedtheresevendays; and they kept tellingPaul5through the Spirit not to setfoot in Jerusalem.

When our days there were ended, we left and started on our journey, while they all, with wives and children, 6escorted us until we were out of the city. After 7kneeling*down* on the beach and praying, we saidfarewell to oneanother.

Then we went on board the ship, and they returned8home again.

When we had finished the voyage from 9Tyre, we arrived at Ptolemais, and after greeting10the brethren, we stayed with them for a day.

On the nextday we left and came to 11Caesarea, and entering the house of 12Philip the 13evangelist, who was 14one of the seven, we stayed with him.

As we were staying there for somedays, a prophetnamed16Agabuscamedown from Judea.

And coming to us, he 17tookPaul'sbelt and bound his ownfeet and hands, and said, "This18is what the HolySpiritsays: 'In thisway the Jews at Jerusalem will 19bind the manwhoownsthisbelt and 20deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.' "

When we had heardthis, we as well as the localresidents began begging him 21not to go up to Jerusalem.

ThenPaulanswered, "What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For 22I amready not only to be bound, but even to die at Jerusalem for 23the name of the LordJesus."
