"For 1the promise is for you and your children and for allwho are 2faroff, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself."

And with manyotherwords he solemnly3testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, "Be saved from this4perversegeneration!"

Sothen, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were addedaboutthreethousand5souls.

They were 6continuallydevotingthemselves to the apostles'teaching and to fellowship, to 7the breaking of bread and 8to prayer.

Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many9wonders and signs were takingplacethrough the apostles.

And allthose who had believed were together** and 10hadallthings in common;

and they 11began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might haveneed.

12Day by daycontinuing with onemind in the temple, and 13breakingbread from house to house, they were taking their mealstogether with gladness and sincerity of heart,

praisingGod and 14havingfavor with all the people. And the Lord15was adding to their numberday by day16those who were being saved.
