"3He is the 4STONE WHICH WAS 5REJECTED by you, THE BUILDERS, but WHICH BECAME THE CHIEFCORNER stone.

"And there is salvation in 6no*oneelse; for there is noothernameunderheaven that has been givenamongmen by which we must be saved."
Threat and Release
13Now as they observed the 7confidence of 8Peter and John and understood that they were uneducated and untrainedmen, they were amazed, and 9began to recognize them as having been with Jesus.

And seeing the man who had been healedstanding with them, they hadnothing to say in reply.

But when they had ordered them to leave the 10Council, they began to confer with oneanother,

saying, "11What shall we do with thesemen? For the fact that a 12noteworthymiracle has takenplacethrough them is apparent to all who live in Jerusalem, and we cannot*deny it.

"But so that it will not spreadanyfurther*among the people, let us warn them to speaknolonger to anyman13in thisname."

And when they had summoned them, they 14commanded them not to speakorteach at all in the name of Jesus.

But 15Peter and Johnanswered and said to them, "16Whether it is right in the sight of God to giveheed to you ratherthan to God, you be the judge;

for 17we cannot*stopspeaking about what we have seen and heard."
