But Mosessaid to the people, "1Do not fear! aStand by and see2the salvation of the LORDwhich He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptianswhom you have seentoday, you will neversee them againforever .
"3The LORD will fight for you while 4you keepsilent."
Then the LORDsaid to Moses, "Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the sons of Israel to goforward.
"As for you, lift up 5your staff and stretch out your handover the sea and divide it, and the sons of Israel shall bgothrough the midst of the sea on dryland.
"As for Me, behold, 6I will charden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them; and I will be honored through Pharaoh and all his army, through his chariots and his horsemen.
"7Then the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD, when I am honored through Pharaoh, through his chariots and his horsemen."
198The angel of God, who had been goingbefore the camp of Israel, moved and wentbehind them; and the pillar of cloudmoved from before them and stoodbehind them.
So it camebetween the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; and there was the clouddalong with the darkness, yet it gavelight at night. Thus the one did not comenear the otherallnight.
219Then Mosesstretched out his handover the sea; and the LORDeswept the sea back by a strongeastwindallnight and turned the sea into 10dryland, so 11the waters were divided.
2212The sons of Israelfwentthrough the midst of the sea on the dryland, and 13the waters were like a wall to them on their righthand and on their left.
Then 14the Egyptianstook up the pursuit, and allPharaoh'shorses, his chariots and his horsemenwent in after them into the midst of the sea.
At the morningwatch, 15the LORDlookeddown on the garmy of the Egyptianshthrough the pillar of fire and cloud and brought the iarmy of the Egyptians into confusion.
He jcaused their chariotwheels to swerve, and He made them drive with difficulty; so the Egyptianssaid, "Let kus flee from Israel, 16for the LORD is fighting for them against the Egyptians."
Then the LORDsaid to Moses, "17Stretch out your handover the sea so that the waters may comebackover the Egyptians, over their chariots and their horsemen."
So Mosesstretched out his handover the sea, and 18the seareturned to its normalstate at daybreak, while the Egyptians were fleeinglright into it; then the LORDm19overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
The watersreturned and covered the chariots and the horsemen, neven Pharaoh'sentirearmy that had gone into the seaafter them; 20not evenone of them remained.
But the sons of Israelwalked on 21dryland through the midst of the sea, and the waters were like a wall to them on their righthand and on their left.
3022Thus the LORDsavedIsrael that day from the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel23saw the Egyptiansdead on the seashore .
When Israelsaw the greatopowerwhich the LORD had pused against the Egyptians, the peopleqfeared the LORD, and 24they believed in the LORD and in His servantMoses.
