But evenif we, or1an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospelacontrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be b2accursed!
As we 3have saidbefore, so I sayagainnow, 4ifanyman is preaching to you a gospelccontrary to what you received, he is to be d5accursed!
For am I now6seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to pleasemen? If I were still trying to pleasemen, I would not be a 7bond-servant of Christ.
For 8I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is 9not according to man.
For 10I neitherreceived it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a 11revelation of JesusChrist.
For you have heard of 12my formermanner of life in Judaism, how I 13used to persecute14the church of Godbeyondmeasure and 15tried to destroy it;
and I 16was advancing in Judaismbeyondmany of my contemporariesamong my ecountrymen, beingmoreextremelyzealous for my 17ancestraltraditions.
But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother'swomb and 18called me through His grace, was pleased16
to reveal His Son in me so that I might 19preach Him among the Gentiles, 20I did not immediatelyconsult with f21flesh and blood,
1722nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostlesbefore me; but I wentaway to Arabia, and returnedoncemore to 23Damascus.
18Then24threeyearslater I went up 25to Jerusalem to gbecomeacquainted with 26Cephas, and stayed with him fifteendays.
