Then Josephcould not control himself before all those who stood by him, and he cried, "Have everyonego out from me." So there awas noman with him 1when Josephmade himself known to his brothers.
22He bwept so loudly that the Egyptiansheard it, and the household of Pharaohheard of it.

Then Josephsaid to his brothers, "3I am Joseph ! 4Is my fatherstillalive ?" But his brotherscould not answer him, for 5they were dismayed at his presence.

Then Josephsaid to his brothers, "Pleasecomeccloser to me." And they camedcloser. And he said, "I am your brotherJoseph, whom you 6sold into Egypt.
5"Now do not be grieved or angryewith yourselves, because7you sold me here, for 8Godsent me before you to preservelife.

"For the famine has been in the land9these two years, and there are stillfiveyears in whichthere will be neitherplowingnorharvesting.

"10Godsent me before you to preserve for you a remnant in the earth, and to keep you alive by a greatfdeliverance.
8"Now, therefore, it was not you who sent me here, but God ; and He has made me a 11father to Pharaoh and lord of all his household and ruler over all the land of Egypt.
9"Hurry and go up to my father, and 12say to him, 'Thussays your sonJoseph, "God has made me lord of allEgypt ; comedown to me, do not delay.

"You shall glive in the land of 13Goshen, and you shall be near me, you and your children and your children'schildren and your flocks and your herds and all that you have.
11"There I will also 14provide for you, for there are stillfiveyears of famine to come, and you and your household and all that you have would be impoverished."'
